About Me
I am almost 71 years old and have been interested in all forms of needlework almost all my life.
When a very small child Mother gave me her “feed” sacks and I cut them up and stitched by hand clothes for my dolls. When I was maybe 9 or 10 she bought me a dresser scarf set with nothing but cross stitches. I was thrilled but soon got bored with the drum drum of just one stitch – no variety. My first UFO (unfinished project-object). And have no idea what ever happened to it.
I’ve made a number of wedding dresses, from simple to very elaborate, dresses for complete bridesmaid party for several weddings, sewed 90% of the clothes my family wore, crocheted, knitted, did crewel embroidery and so on. The list is long. I dabble in oil and acrylic painting, love to cook for anyone that will eat with me, and especially for my family. I also enjoy photography, computers – took classes in both. I have not undertaken the project of making a quilt for each of my family. At present that totals 21 quilts but I’m sure as I move along that number will change withthe addition of more great grandchildren. I love to cook, fish and most of all enjoy family.
With 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren my life is full and blessed.
