New Instructions

October 6, 2009

Within the next few days I will be adding more instructions for making flowers, leaves etc in Brazilian Dimensional Embroidery (BDE or BE).

I realize it has been a long time since I posted here.

I had a fire where I lived.  No one was hurt and I lost nothing of value.  But it did disrupt my life.  I’m now in a new home, I really like and I have the unpacking to where I can start doing some fun things.

Good Morning

September 6, 2009

Sorry for the long stretch between posts, but a lot has happened.  I was staying with a granddaughter but I’m now in my own place with my own computer (not the one with the material on it).  I need to get my other computer cleaned and connected.

But I have written material that I can now copy into the computer and get a lot of information out to you to use.

If you have questions, or comments please let me know them.

Morning

March 18, 2009

Hope all that have found this blog have gotten some help with stitches.

Seems my life for the past few months has been full of tumbles (up and down).  About the time I think everything is on a smooth and even track something else happens.

At the moment all my belongings are back in storage and I’m living out of a suitcase again.

Jan 30th I had a fire (starting outside) at my new apartment, and 3 weeks after moving in I was moving out.  There was not a lot of damage, I was unhurt, the person living in the adjoining apt was not at home and I lost very little (nothing of value or family treasure).  The fire was contained to a small storage room between the kitchen and back door.

I’m told that it will be about 3 more weeks before I can move in.  They have had setbacks in the repairs.  One the electric company didn’t restore electricity for 2 weeks, the paperwork from the city so they could start work took a week, they did the re-wiring to find that they should have hired a master electrician and now were waiting for one to come to inspect it.

They still have to install all new kitchen cabinets, flooring, light fixtures and finish painting inside and out.

So just maybe in 3-4 weeks I can get back and add some more files here.

Good Morning

I’ve been away from my own computer for about 10 months and am now back where I can add more information and instructions here

If you are visiting for the first time, please check out the information regarding insturctions for BE flowers, leaves etc.  I will be adding more as time allows.

I’ve just added the link to Christine Hause she is a great lady and distributor of supplies and designs for BE.  Please check her out and tell her I sent you – no affilation with her shop other than a very customer friendly place to shop.

I’m just moved into my new place and have lots of unpacking to do.   So when I’m resting between unpacking I’ll try to add some more instructions.

Also, if you have a BE question, please ask and I’ll try to answer if I can if not will try and find the answer for you.

Our New World the Internet

May 23, 2008

A world all unto itself.  It has opened an entire new atmosphere into my existence.

Each day I learn and find more of interest.  Today I found a new network of blogs/bloggers and found so much interesting information and work that others are doing.

Stitching Fingers is just that a lot of neat people doing very neat things with needle, and thread using one’s fingers.   I am always enthralled with the scope of all the beautiful work that is accompliahed with bits of thread and fabric.

Because of this great “thing” the Internet I was able to ruin my budget if I ever had one, with all he great finds for making quilts for my family, with all the EdMar thread and BE designs that I couldn’t live without and the list goes on.

When I travel to visit my family there are 2 bags for me, and 5-6 for my crafts (and if I stay very long that number grows).

Welcome

May 14, 2008

Today I started a blog to advance the wonderful art of Brazilian Dimensional Embroidery.

I will try through this blog to offer instructions for making different flowers, leaves, etc.  I am a mouse click away to help answer questions.

I do hope in some small way this blog will be helpful to those wanting to learn more about this beautiful embroidery.
